Stroud Theatre Arts runs weekly performing arts and musical theatre classes for children and young people in Langley and Northolt, with training across singing, dancing and acting.

Stroud Theatre Arts runs weekly performing arts and musical theatre classes in Northolt for children and young people from age 3.

Based at Alec Reed Academy, our Sunday classes provide training across singing, dancing and acting, with different groups allowing students to develop their technique, confidence and performance skills as they grow.

From a first introduction to performing arts through to more advanced musical theatre training, students can progress through STA within an ambitious but supportive environment.

Minis | Ages 3-5 | 09:30 - 10:15am

Our Minis classes focus on sparking creativity, building confidence and helping young children become comfortable expressing themselves and performing, all while having plenty of fun.


Juniors | Ages 6-9 | 10:15 - 12:30pm

A full musical theatre session covering singing, dance and drama, developing confidence, creativity and performance skills through material from a wide variety of musicals.


Inters | Ages 9-11 | 09:30 - 11:45am

The bridge between Juniors and the older groups, with a growing emphasis on stronger performance skills, technique, confidence and maturity.


Pre Seniors | Ages 11-13 | 09:30 - 11:45am

More developed musical theatre training with tailored feedback and an increased focus on technique, creativity, confidence and understanding the different areas of theatre.


Seniors | Ages 14+ | 10:15 - 12:30pm

STA's most advanced core weekly musical theatre class, with continued singing, dancing and acting training alongside greater emphasis on technical development, stage performance, audition technique and professional industry knowledge.

Ages are a guide. Experience, ability and confidence are also considered when deciding which class is most appropriate for each student.

Free Parking

Free parking is available in the on-site car park at our Northolt venue, helping to make drop-off and collection as easy as possible for families attending weekly classes.

All of our STA classes at Northolt take place on the ground floor. Students should be brought into the building through the main reception entrance, where they will be greeted and signed in by a member of the STA team. Please do not leave your child until they have met a member of staff. Students are collected from the main reception area at the end of their session.

Accessibility & Arrival

Students at Northolt benefit from access to three different training rooms, including two dance studios and a dedicated drama and singing room. Students move between the different spaces during their session, accompanied by STA staff, allowing each part of their training to take place in an appropriate environment. We also have access to the school's in-house theatre for performances, giving students valuable experience of performing in a dedicated theatre setting.

HOME OF THE STROUD THEATRE ARTS PERFORMANCE COMPANY

Alec Reed Academy is also home to the STA Performance Company, our additional audition-only programme for young performers aged 8–16 who want to push themselves further and gain more opportunities to perform.

Performance Company meets on Tuesdays from 6:00–7:30pm, with members developing across singing, dancing and acting while working towards performances, competitions and external events throughout the year. Lauren's supplied information lists the programme at £12 per week.
